Spain - Iraq Business Meeting
On the occasion of the forthcoming visit by a senior delegation from Iraq, led by Mr. Riyadh Fakher Al-Hashimi, General Director for Economic and Commercial Intelligence at the Secretariat of State for Trade, and the Ambassador of Iraq to Spain, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce will host the Spain-Iraq Business Meeting Business Meeting on Friday, 6 November at 11:00 at its headquarters (Ribera del Loira, 12, 28042 Madrid). The meeting will also feature the participation of Mr. Juan Luis Gimeno, Director of the Directorate-General for Economic and Trade Intelligence at the Spanish Secretariat of State for Trade.
Iraq is a market of growing strategic interest in the Middle East, given its energy resources, infrastructure modernization needs and commitment to economic diversification and private sector development. The country's reconstruction and transformation projects offer opportunities for business cooperation in sectors such as energy, transport, infrastructure, water management, industry and agriculture, in which Spanish companies have extensive international experience. This meeting provides an opportunity to strengthen bilateral economic and trade relations, identify business opportunities and foster collaboration between companies and institutions from both countries.
