Spain - Iceland Business Forum

On the occasion of the upcoming visit of a delegation from Iceland, led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iceland, Ms. Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir, the Spain Chamber of Commerce, the Secretariat of State for Trade through ICEX Spain Trade and Investment, and the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE) and Business Iceland are organizing the Spain – Iceland Business Forum on December 1st at 4:30 p.m. at the Spain Chamber of Commerce (Ribera del Loira 12, 28042 Madrid).

Iceland represents a strategic business opportunity for Spanish companies in key sectors such as renewable energy (especially in uses of cascading geothermal and wind energy), the blue economy, sustainable fishing and aquaculture, and technological innovation related to the use of marine resources. The country is positioned as a global benchmark in energy transition and responsible ocean management, thanks to its political stability, high level of development, and commitment to sustainability. In addition, it offers a transparent business environment and preferential access to European Economic Area markets. Its advanced port infrastructure and leadership in clean technologies make Iceland a strategic point for operations in the North Atlantic and for the expansion of innovative energy and fisheries solutions.

During the forum, two round tables will be held focusing on the green economy and the blue economy.
